May Temperatures Up and Down, Fishing Turning Up Also!
Spring fishing always turns on fast, and after a rainy April, the fishing is turning up!
Fishing in close to the first sandbar, we grabbed a great mess of Coho for everyone on the boat today. It was a great morning of fishing.
While the winds were ripping, they were out of the east so fishing in close was calm and we had a super active morning of fishing.
I can’t guarantee every morning will be like this, and as the spring fishing sees water temperatures rise and fall, we may change our tactics a bit, but the fish are starting to move around and we are catching them.
We fully expect the Coho to be active over the next couple weeks and the Salmon are starting to show up in the area. As the lake warms up a bit and stabilizes, catches of these are going to be on the increase also.
